We were honored to be a part of the 2005 fund raiser for our local Pregnancy Center.

We had church representatives at all three walk sites in
Pinellas County. Our Pastor was at the downtown St. Petersburg
site.
The weather was perfect and the enthusiasm of the walkers made the event an uplifting and fun experience for all ages including some infants who did not actually "walk" but were carried by their moms or rode in strollers. There were even some non-human walkers. The dogs were specially appreciated by the many children who showed up with their families. |

It was a good reminder of what the center is about:
helping to ensure that our unborn children are provided all the support the
christian community can provide for them and their parents. One of the goals
of the center is to provide a birthing center which will expand the services
provided for those facing a crisis pregnancy.
Update: The pledges received from the walk so far are $405,000 which makes our's the top walk-for-life in the nation! |
